Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at City University of Hong Kong, advised by Gerhard Hancke. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) under the supervision of Rynson Lau. Prior to that, I received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. from Zhejiang University (ZJU). During my Ph.D. study, I was lucky to work with Jimei Yang as an intern at Adobe Research.

My research interests lie in the areas of computer vision and computer graphics, with special emphasis on layout modeling. Specifically, I am interested in teaching computers to understand layouts of natural scenes or graphic designs in spatial/temporal domain, and exploring the potential use in various applications such as shadow/reflection/flare detection and removal.
